Image I can't speak for others but I started out with a Hill bow and ended up making some for myself and others and then tried others and ended back with a Hill.  Been shooting them since 1976. My personal choice is a longbow compared to a recurve.  I guess I don't shoot good enough to use a recurve.  I'd be happy to talk to you some more about tackle in general.

Image I agree with Byron, tried lots of different bows over the years kept coming back to the Hill bow. One day I realized all of the memorial shots I have made were done with the Hill bow, so why shoot anything else.

Image Hey all,
I just found this forum and signed up. I'm with the other fellows, it's either a Hill or Hill-style longbow for me. I've tried most models of the Hill and have settled on the Cheetah and Wesley Special as my favorites models. I also have and really like one of Nate Steen's Sunset Hill stringfollow longbows, and a relative unknown David Underwood, from Kentucky.

Image JD Berry Misty Dawn is nice, a Nate Steen Sunset Hill (good luck), 7 lakes builds a quality bow, Jet bows are nice too, and of course Howard Hill bows.

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear.
